Instructions:
Follow these steps:
- Preheat your oven to 200°C/fan 180°C/gas 6. In a bowl, mix together the onion, turkey mince , sausagemeat, apple, sage, and most of the beaten egg. Season lightly.
- Divide the mixture in half and shape into two long sausages that are as long as your filo pastry sheets.
- On a work surface, lay one sheet of filo pastry and lightly spray with low-calorie cooking spray. Lay the other sheet on top and cut in half lengthways to make two strips.
- Lay a long sausage down one side of each strip and brush the other long edge with the remaining beaten egg. Roll up each sausage in the filo pastry, starting with the egg-free edge and pressing the egg-brushed edge to seal. Cut each long roll into 12 equal-size pieces.
- Arrange the sausage rolls on a non-stick baking sheet, about 5cm apart. Spray the top of each sausage roll with a little more low-calorie cooking spray and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until crisp and golden brown. Serve hot.
