Roast Potatoes Recipe

Instructions:

  • Preheat your oven to 220°C/fan 200°C/gas 7.
  • Cook the potatoes in a saucepan of boiling water over a high heat for 6-8 minutes or until they’re just starting to soften. Drain well, give them a shake in the colander to rough up the edges, then tip into a non-stick baking tray or roasting tin.
  • Spray the potatoes with low-calorie cooking spray, sprinkle with sea salt and toss well.
  • Roast at the top of the oven for 30-35 minutes or until crisp and golden on the outside and tender inside, turning halfway.
  • Serve hot.

Prepare for Air Frying:

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 200°C (390°F).
  2. Transfer the parboiled potatoes to a bowl.
  3. Spray the potatoes generously with low-calorie cooking spray, ensuring they are evenly coated.
  4. Sprinkle with sea salt and toss well to distribute the oil and salt.

Air Fry the Potatoes:

  1. Place the potatoes in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Avoid overcrowding, as this will prevent them from crisping up properly. You may need to cook in batches.
  2. Air fry for 20-25 minutes, shaking the basket or turning the potatoes halfway through, until they are golden brown and crispy on the outside and tender on the inside.
  3. If you find that your airfryer cooks unevenly, you may have to turn the potatoes more than once.
  4. Test for doneness by piercing a potato with a fork. It should be tender.

Serve:

Once the potatoes are cooked to your liking, remove them from the air fryer and serve immediately.
