Instructions:
- Cover the surface of the mold with liquid caramel to your liking. If you have several small molds, repeat the process for each one.
In a bowl, mix the sugar with the eggs very well. Then add the milk and mix everything very well again. - Preheat your air fryer to 160ºC. While it is preheating, you can optionally pass the flan mixture through a fine strainer. You can strain the mixture 1-3 times to get the best texture.
- Pour the mixture into the mold over the liquid caramel, leaving at least 1 cm unfilled (the egg custard mixture grows as it cooks). Put the mold or molds in your air fryer for 15 minutes at 160ºC.
- When finished, remove the flan from the mold by running a thin knife along the entire wall of the mold. Chill in the fridge once it has reached room temperature.
- Before serving, repeat the process with the knife if you can’t unmold the egg custard by flipping it on the plate.

- Easy, true? The truth is that egg flan is one of the quickest and simplest desserts you can make at home. Thanks to your air fryer, you can prepare it in much less time without having to put it in the oven or in a water bath.
- Of course, as usually happens in most sweet recipes for air fryer, you will have to buy a mold accessory. As we have mentioned, you can pour the mixture into a large mold or spread it over several small molds.
- Of course, you can buy liquid caramel made or prepare it previously with sugar and water in a pan. You can also use other syrups according to your taste. Similarly, you can add a teaspoon of vanilla essence to the mixture to give your flan a special touch.
- Finally, do not forget to unmold your flan by inserting a knife attached to the wall of the mold. Do the process as soon as you remove your puddings from the air fryer and just before turning them onto a plate. Take advantage!
